Performed a diagnostic service call for a AC unit. Came out for coil frozen. Found blower capacitor lead not connected. Tightened down leads. Filter needs to be replaced. Checked charge which is good considering airflow restriction. Once filter is changed airflow should be good. Did a tune up. Checked amps volts and electrical components. System working at this time.

Performed a diagnostic service call for a 15 year old AC unit. I found the outdoor unit running but it was only the condenser fan running because the compressor was not starting due to a weak capacitor. Customer just wants to get the unit going for now so I replaced the capacitor and cycled the system. Condenser delta is pretty high and the compressor amps are slightly elevated.

Upon arrival I noticed it looks as though the txv is not opening all the way to allow the proper amount of refrigerant into the coil. Customer wishes to move forward with repair as soon as possible. I Put disconnect on outside unit in the off position prior to departure.
